We often conduct interactive training programs focused on being respectful in the workplace. We’ve lost count of how many discussions we had but can confirm that each session was totally different. Long talks were conducted about how we treat each other, and how we expect to be treated. It is appreciable that all the personal input of our officials has made this training a success.
We need to continue to rely on each other and attempt to see issues from others different point of view, recognizing that each person’s thoughts and ideas have inherent value. When we respect each other, we deal with each other directly, and not in ways that damage relationships and hurt our business.
We can’t always control how others treat us, but we can control how we react to others. The most basic value that each person needs to practice in the workplace is Respect. Without that, nothing else works. We don’t have to like each other, but we have to respect each other.
